Perhaps it’s the gazillion new models that were launched in the last 6 months filling up my subscriptions list. I watched this 3-way midsize comparison today and I thought it was really well made and a balanced look at the top contenders.
should I go test drive some trucks this year? The Colorado looks impressive. Never driven one only ridden in them.

I don’t really get the shootout style car/ truck review. I guess if you are coming at the market fresh it’s a decent tool.
But on my third Toyota 4x4 I didn’t even make it through - I wouldn’t buy anything else and only really considered if it was time to go with a Tundra or not.

I love the Colorado. I really like the fact that it offers the best of both words (off-road and on-road) plus three engine options plus various trims plus off-roady in three trims (Z71, ZR2, and Bison)

Agreed. I think Ford should’ve come out with at least 2 engines but I’m not sure what other engine they would use besides the diesel I’m the F150.

Dan is by far one of the more tolerable truck reviewers. not hardcore but not an idiot.

What is your opinion on TFLtruck? they put out a lot of videos.

W e clash. Some of their videos are excellent and super unique, and their consistency with some of the tests is invaluable data (ike gauntlet , mileage loop, etc). But...they can also be inaccurate, misleading or just wrong either for entertainment or ignorance and then VERY defensive about their wrongness. Most of the non-test content is hard to watch and some of their reviewers are...just unwatchable.
On the whole i t’ s a good thing they exists and I’ m really grateful for a lot of the test they do.

Freakin A...I hate the perpetual myth of the Tacoma and 4Runner being related. They aren’t.

He definitely knows his stuff.
Edit: I wrote this before his “4Runner pickup” comment - ha!
